Portfolio Example

Each Portfolio entry (like this one) can house any content you would like. A few examples of what you can add are text, images, buttons, a slider, or an image gallery.

You can also categorize your Portfolio entries into multiple categories. For example, if you’re a photographer, you could have categories for Weddings, Engagements, and Families. Or if you’re a designer, you have categories for Brand Design and Web Design. Each Portfolio category has its own separate page containing multiple entries under that category, similar to how post categories work in WordPress.

How to travel to Raja Ampat? Here’s a detailed gui How to travel to Raja Ampat? Here’s a detailed guide to help you make your way to this remote paradise! 🌴✈️👇

Are you thinking about visiting Raja Ampat? Let me break it down step-by-step:

1. Fly to Sorong (SOQ) – The nearest airport. Direct flights are available from Jakarta, Bali, Ambon, Manado & Makassar. 🌏✈️

2. Public Ferry to Waisai – From Sorong, catch the ferry to Waisai. It departs daily at 9 AM and 2 PM, taking around 2 hours. 🚢💨 Economy tickets are 125K + 12K (port tax), or you can opt for VIP tickets at 250K + 12K. Tip: You don’t need to arrive early at the harbor, trust me. 😅

3. Tourist Registration – Once you’re in Waisai, walk to the tourist registration office (just 5 minutes). You’ll pay your national park entry fees here. 📝

4. Boat to Your Destination – The final leg of your journey! I recommend asking your accommodation if they offer transport. Alternatively, you can arrange a boat at the harbor, but there’s a bit of risk involved. 🚤

5. Share the Ride – Boat trips are often priced per boat, so why not split the cost? 🛥️💸 Ask your host if they know of any other guests arriving at the same time, or make friends on the ferry! 👫

6. Sit Back & Relax – Once you’re on the boat (or a taxi if you’re staying on Waigeo), enjoy the ride! And yes, bring a raincoat. Most accommodations pick you up with a longboat. 🌧️

A quick note:
* Misool Ferry: If you’re heading to Misool, note that the public ferry leaves only on Monday evenings from Sorong. 🚢
* Luxury option: If you’re willing to splurge, you can arrange a direct transfer from Sorong to one of the islands, but expect to pay around 6 million IDR. 💸

It’s a journey.. but it’s worth it! 😙

A little about me: I’m Nienke, a Dutch girl living in Raja Ampat with my Moluccan boyfriend. I share tips and stories about life on these beautiful islands. Follow me for more travel info and island vibes! 🌴

Who would ever thought this girl from the southern part of the Netherlands would end up living the slow life on a tropical island?!

Well definitely not me when I bought my very spontaneous ticket to Bali around 4 years ago. 😅

(And I think if my parents would have known before hand, they would have hidden my passport somewhere 🤣).

Cheers to more adventures, let’s be a bit more spontaneous guys and get out of your comfort zone!! It might lead you to Moluccan boyfriends and life on a tropical island 🌴✨🫶🏻
